Hi Folks,
I don't know if anyone read the news report from Maine,
[published on yesterday's Yahoo] but there has been a
serious decline of breeding Great Cormorant populations
in Maine because of the increase in Bald Eagles.
Apparently, the eagles do not have enough fish to eat
and have turned to eating loons, eiders and more importantly,
endangered sea birds that nest along our northern coasts.
Since the cormorant was a visitor to Ocean City this winter,
I just thought that you would like to know!!
Good Birding,
Lance
