I went out from 7 to 7:45 AM on this rather cool morning (5/19). The highlight was a male Prothonotary Warbler singing from the top of a tree stub at Forebay Pond which is just upstream from Lake Elkhorn. More expected warblers were two Northern Waterthrushes, a Canada Warbler (near the Brush Run path), American Redstart, a Black-throated Blue, two Yellowthroats and a few Blackpolls. There was a Willow Flycatcher at Forebay, a Veery near the end of Brush Run, and a flock of about a dozen Cedar Waxwings. The only shorebird I saw was a Solitary Sandpiper at Lake Elkhorn at the upper end.
