Yesterday we had two SWAINSON'S THRUSH on one of the hiker/biker trails around Oxbow Lake, however, they were not singing. We were able practically walk right up to them before they flushed and they returned to the trail after we walked on.

Location: Oxbow Lake
Observation date: 5/19/09
Notes: Jay Sheppard, Ira Simon, and I spent lunch hour at the Oxbow. Jay had a possible Bay-breasted Warbler by sound, but we never saw it to positively identify it. Had a dying gizzard shad in the inlet/outlet channel near the beaver dam. Also a woodchuck on Big Pool Bluff.
