This evening I had a call from Jon Ranson who reported seeing a canvasback on Ramsey Lake in AA County.? He and his son were kayaking on the lake; his son approached close enough to determine the bird could not fly. It seemed relatively healthy otherwise.?? I don't know if this out of season duck is of interest to anyone or not.? Ramsey Lake is in the Shoreham Beach community (private - but if one is very polite and stays on the road or community pier?it will be fine) or could possibly be seen from the Turkey Point community.? Given that much of the land is private, it may be hard to see from shore.?
