Hi Everyone,

I spent the last three days birding on the Eastern Shore working on my county lists. Highlights of the trip.

Monday - Before doing the Poplar Island trip, Duvall Sollers and I spent an hour or two at Pickering Creek. Best bird was a Swainson's Thrush.

Tuesday - In Caroline County, I closed out my House Wren (#102) in Federalsburg. In Wicomico County, I had a Ruddy Turnstone at Nanticoke Harbor. Also in Wicomico County, at the end of RT 349, I observed a Boat-tailed Grackle and Snowy Egret. In Talbot County, I closed out my Acadian Flycatcher (#103) on Tarbutton Mill road.

Wednesday - Just below the dam to Tuckahoe Lake on the Caroline County side, I closed out Northern Parula (#104). I joined Karen Harris and Jim Green walking through Adkins, best bird was a Grey-cheeked Thrush. Afterwards, we went to the boat ramp on the Queen Anne's side of Tuckahoe Lake where Karen found three different Warbling Vireo's in two locations right next to the parking lot. Jim and I headed to Kent County, where I was able to find my closeout Grasshopper Sparrow (#105), which was especially sweet as I cannot hear them and had seen them in all 23 counties. Jim also several Blackpolls and a Prairie which I did not see.

Good Birding,
