All you need is to stick with Stan Arnold. He came, we chatted and the
thrush began calling at 3:45 PM. It took us a while to get the bird in
enough light to see the contrast between the flat gray-brown back and the warm
chestnut tail, but the chestnut in the primaries was much more conspicuous.
Odd. The canopy is pretty dense and you could easily pass off the
Bicknell's for a Gray-cheeked in the low light. Persistence pays.
