I spent most of the day in Kent County today and met many other birders from multiple states while there. To the best of my knowledge neither the Ruff nor the Scissor-tailed Flycatcher were reported by anyone. I spent a couple hours at Chesapeake Farms in mid morning and a couple in the afternoon. Numbers of shorebirds were about half those previously reported. Sometime in the afternoon a flock of Black-bellied Plovers and Turnstones appeared. They also disappeared while I was there looking at other species. The Ruff may still be around.
