I saw three (possibly four) Saltmarsh Short-tailed Sparrows at Fort Howard
Park Veterans Medical Center this morning. As I walked North from the
southern corner of the park the first sparrow flushed from between the grass
and the seawall. I managed to see the second bird before it saw me and I
enjoyed watching it, from 7 feet away, for several minutes. Bird 2 decided
to fly around me, landing at the base of the seawall 8 feet away, then it
walked away under the tall grass. When bird 3 was scurrying along the base
of the seawall it suddenly found itself at my feet and flushed sidewalk in
the lawn.

This area is an overgrown lawn between the road and the seawall, just before
the basketball court.
