On my way home (PG Co.) from DE yesterday, I stopped to look for the Reeve at the Remington Farms pond. I had heard about it while I was in DE doing some shorebird volunteer work with the DE Shorebird Project, and was unable to look for it until last night on my way home. I found about 550 shorebirds at the pond but no Reeve was present.
There were Semi-P Plover, Killdeer and B-B Plover; Gr and Lsr Yellowlegs, Dunlin, S-B Dowitcher, and Least, Semi-P (by far the most numerous), and White-R Sandpipers (2). The most unusual find was a pair of G-W Teal loafing in the back of pond.
I was there from 6:15 - 7:00 pm. A very nice pond.
Cheers-
