Hi Folks,

I visited Swan Creek Wetland (and Cox Creek Dredged Material Facility) in N.
AA County yesterday afternoon where I ran into Elaine Hendricks who was
visiting there for the first time. No big finds, but a quiety perched male
BLUE GROSBEAK was new for the year, and there was the usual good assortment
of waders, including a flyover CATTLE EGRET, three LITTLE BLUE HERONs (1 ad
and 2 white imm) and seven GLOSSY IBIS, one of which was an unglossy
immature. At least three MARSH WRENs were singing and a single LEAST TERN
worked the impoundments, though usually there is a pair of them present.

This location is near the Key Bridge at the end of Kembo Rd., which is off
of Ft Smallwood Rd., and easily accessed from the Hawkins Point exit off of
I-695 (the last exit before the Key Bridge heading east). The facility is
open to birders once they sign a waiver, and is open from 7:30 a.m. (I'm not
sure of this) till 5:30 p.m. (when both gates close), though the office for
the Md Env Service closes at 3:30 p.m., and this is where one signs the
waiver form.
