As a follow-up to Ron's post about the Dickcissel, if you are familiar with the Beauvue Ponds area south of Leonardtown, that's where the wee beasty is. The area is across the road from the pond side and where Northern Harriers and the occasional Short-eared Owl are typically seen in the winter.

Hi Everyone,

Jim Green just called to report a DICKCISSEL in St Marys' County. He came across 
the bird at about 11:45 this morning (24 June 2009) on Abell's Wharf Rd. about 
0.1 mile from Breton Beach Rd. When driving in from Breton Beach Rd, the bird 
was singing in a field on the left from a perch in front of some willows.
