We have a Northern Mockingbird nesting in a little trellis by the turnout in
our driveway. Lately I have noticed that it sits in various nearby trees
making sort of an agitated (sorry for the phoenetics) "churrrrrrring" sound,
almost like you hear from a squirrel. Over and over and over. After I
became sensitive to it, I believe I have heard the same call from other
mockers in the area. Does anybody know if this is just a normal part of the
life cycle? Thanks for any thoughts.
good birding
