While relaxing with a glass of wine on the back porch, about 6:55 pm today (29 June, 2009), Barbara and I heard a Black-billed Cuckoo sing just once. It seems like every 10 years or so there is an odd incursion of them on the Western Shore in late June. Never quite got if they are late Spring migrants or early Fall.
