I dropped by the ponds this afternoon for a quick, post-work-meeting,
bird-filled lunch.  I observed three Dickcissel from the road,
numerous Grasshopper Sparrows, at least two Bobwhite, two Blue
Grosbeak and several Eastern Meadowlark.  Then it was back to work.
The Dickcissel were all singing / calling from three separate
locations.  Two of the three birds I enjoyed perched close by, just
next to the road.  One on a tree top, the other on the wire.  The
third one continually sang off in the distance to the South.
