Early this morning (7/20) I saw two adult Yellow-crowned Night Herons near the bridge at the upper end of Lake Elkhorn in Columbia. The young Little Blue Heron was at Forebay Pond. Other herons were two Great Egrets, two Green Herons, and two Great Blues. I also observed a Belted Kingfisher at Lake Elkhorn, and a Cedar Waxwing and Blue Grosbeaks (a singing male and a young bird) at Forebay.
