June is correct -- there is an MOS task force on a Maryland-District
of Columbia Birding Trail, which when complete will carry the names
of Chandler and Eleanor Robbins. The task force is chaired by Marcia
Watson of the Cecil Bird Club, and I am one of the members.
The task force is in a state of summer hiatus at the moment. 62
nominations of possible sites on the Trail have been received, and
most have been evaluated. The process has been stretched out more
than anticipated, as it proved more difficult than we thought to get
bird clubs to make formal nominations, and some counties have still
to make a single nomination.
MDOsprey isn't the place to go into greater detail. If you have
questions or suggestions, please contact Marcia Watson () or me.
