I was amazed at the number and variety of swallows that flew over Fort
Howard Veterans Hospital this morning. Between 6:30 and 8:30 I saw five
swallow species including at least two Bank Swallows. I counted 855 Purple
Martin in 12 flocks before leaving to go to work. They flew as if they were
on a mission ...heading East.
