Thanks to Bill for posting.
I told Bill that there were 2 birds, but I now think I can only be sure that there was 1. I saw 1 bird in two different locations around the ballfields, but it's possible the first one flew to the second location. In any event, when George and Gwen arrived around 10:30, we only re-found 1 bird. It was in the woods behind the second baseball field as you're driving from 257. I had seen the bird in the same location about an hour earlier.
George got pictures, so hopefully he'll post them.

Hi Everyone,
John Hubbell has two BROWN-HEADED NUTHATCHes at Southern Park in Charles Co. The park is off Rte 257 on Wilson Road. He saw and heard the two birds behind the baseball field. This is a mega county bird - George Jett is already chasing - I want to say only the third record for the county.
Well done, John!
Bill
