Talking with the home owner more revealed that the Scissor-tail has actually been around for over 3 weeks.? And the home owner also described a Snowy Owl that winters at their home every year, fattening up on kittens! Definitely worth a check this upcoming December.

Stan Arnold called me to report that the bird flew over the home with
the veggie stand across the road over the tree line at 10:20am. He and
a dozen or so others got great looks at the one-streamered bird.

The home owner has been seeing it for a week or so.

Also: my wife and I had a baby girl on Friday. While she and Isla
rest up at the hospital, my son Declan and I did some nearby birding.

Declan adde. UPLAND SANDPIPER to his life list. Sitting in the
recently plowed mud on the Pleasant Plains Turf Farm in AA County.

Some Bank Swallows there as well.
