I, like many other birders, am moving into the "Golden Years."  Along with that often comes a loss of hearing, particularly in the upper ranges.  For those of you who have met this challenge and done something about, would you share off line your recommendations as to particular types/brands of hearing aids, any local doctors or hearing specialists that may have worked with birders, i.e. understand the problems we face, etc.  Thanks much.
