Hi all sorry this report is a little late  But on Sunday Eveing  8 - 23 - 09  from 7:00 PM  till 8:06  pm I  checked the wet fields of Centrel Sod Farm  for shorebirds  and and had some great luck .  A midday check produced no birds of any kind  there were  model rockets being shot off then .  Eveing Bird List 

 

Greater yellowlegs     2

Lesser Yellowlegs     3

Solitary Sandpiper    1

Killdeer                  8

Semipalmated Plover     5

Least Sandpiper      20

Semipalmated Sandpiper     2

WHIMBREL     2 [American ]     Life Bird  ,State Bird and QA County Bird

                                       

Horned Lark   6

 

A Monday afternoon  8 - 24 - 09  check   found  the same shorebirds  except  2 Solitary  Sandpiper ,scores more Killdeer  and NO Whimbrels
