Hi all,
I left especially early this morning so that I could do dawn at Finzel
before work. The only pre-dawn call I heard was a single Wood Thrush,
but after the sun came up, there was a small movement of passerines.
The highlights of the day being a SEDGE WREN calling and quickly seen
south of the trail past the 3rd wooden bridge, a GOLDEN-WINGED
WARBLER, a first for me here as a migrant, a young WILSON'S WARBLER,
and also a BALTIMORE ORIOLE that apparently fed well on Tartan
Honeysuckle as his plumage was a bright reddish orange, as time
allows, I will post pictures of this bird. I had a total of 11
species of warbler in my 3 hours at Finzel. Full list below-
