Hello everyone,

A quick rundown of the highlights from my day of birding with my brother Mike and Bill Hubick:

Montgomery

Violettes Lock: 3 BLACK TERNS
Polo Grounds: 33 Horned Larks
Summit Hall: 2 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS, 1 AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER, 3 Pectoral Sandpipers, 4 Least Sandpipers, ~30 Killdeer
Summit Hall trip two (in the pouring rain): 2 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS, 1 AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER, **1 SANDERLING**, 1 Semipalmated Plover, 5 Semipalmated Sandpipers, ~30 Killdeer

To access Summit Hall Turf Farm, park at the end of Sycamore Landing Road and walk upriver for about 3/4ths of a mile. There is a small clearing in the trees across the canal through which you can view the turf farm while on the tow path.

Washington

Weverton: 5 Ospreys, 1 Bald Eagle

Frederick

Weverton: 6 Common Mergansers
Lilypons: Virginia Rail
