Spent 3 hours today at the hawk watch at Washington Monument. It was a good time.
10-11 AM
Red-shouldered Hawk 1 but probably a local
Sharpie 1 but heading north
11-12
Bald Eagle 2 Adults, 1 at 11:05 and 1 at 11:45
Red-tailed Hawk 4 all imm in a thermal with 2 Broad-wings all headed south
Broad-winged Hawk 2 (note above)
Osprey 1
American Kestrel 2
12-1 PM
American Kestrel 2
Coopers Hawk 1
Bald Eagle 3, 1 adult at 12:36, 1 imm at 12:40, and 1 adult at 12:46

Another observer (didnt catch his name) was there an hour before me and saw nothing. I also had 12 other red-tails that I would call local, I counted 8 at one time! Turkey Vultures 18, Black Vultures 8 and a couple ravens, lots of swifts and swallows too. Altogether I had 32 species of birds.
