Both are pretty active right now - in previous years i had more or less neglected my thistle feeder until later in the season, so this has been an eye opener for me.

The Potomac near Weverton appears to be the home of an Osprey family. Yesterday they seemed to be on the VA side of the river, but the focus shifted to the MD side this morning. Also heard was a Great crested flycatcher. The river was also alive with swallows of one or more kinds although i didn't strain to ID them, and perhaps a Black Tern or two.
