We took a walk along Minebank Run on Saturday morning, Sept. 5th, and ran into several small groups of migrant songbirds. The most numerous by far were the Red-eyed Vireos of which we saw 2 dozen or more. Mixed in with the vireos were several warblers including 8 Magnolia, 12+ Redstarts, 3 Black and white, and 1 Chestnut-sided along with several Common Yellowthroats. Also seen was 1 Yellow-throated Vireo and 3 Yellow-billed Cuckoos. Several Warbling Vireos were heard.
