Yesterday, hubby and I tried canoeing for the first time at Rocky Gap State Park. We canoed around the shoreline and I was hoping to see some "new" birds in the trees along the way. I did not see much, I did hear some chickadees, catbirds and nuthatches. There were a lot of Mallard ducks along the shore and some Canada Geese. There were groups of house sparrows at the feeders and gardens on the resort grounds. I was kind of disappointed in the birding but we did have fun canoeing.

Does anyone know of other "calm" places where we could rent a canoe?

Also, has anyone had experience with Caravan tours for Costa Rica, we are so undecided about our vacation.
