Highlights at Little Bennett Regional Park on Saturday 9/5: Chestnut-sided, Blackburnian, Magnolia, and Blackpoll Warblers (along with a Scarlet Tanager).

Highlights in my yard (southern Frederick County) yesterday afternoon (9/7): two Wilson's Warblers, one Ovenbird, one Magnolia Warbler and two American Redstarts.

Highlights in my yard this morning (9/8): one Black-throated Green Warbler, one American Redstart, and one Blue-winged Warbler. A couple of Ruby-throated Hummingbirds are passing through/lingering as well and vying for the feeders (one adult male who is far less skittish than the one we hosted this summer, one female, and two different hatch-year males distinguished by their throat pattern).
