I was at Friendly Farms yesterday with my family and the birding was nice going in and leaving. On the way in we had a nice view of a Great Blue Heron standing tall next to the first pond coming from my house. 

I know this is late but I am not sure if this is common or not.
While we were there I happened to notice three or four Sandpipers running along the grass. They were too far away to see what kind they were. 

Then driving down their driveway I saw a Green Heron and another bird shape like the Green Heron but I only saw the back of it which was mostly brown in color?
There were also 25-30 Canada Geese.
