Today at noon there were nine American Golden Plovers in the grassy
field of Central Sod Farms on John Brown Road in Queen Anne's County.  They
were beyond the irrigation pipe on the south side of the road near where
many of the other good birds of this fall have been.  Active work was going
on  - cutting and hauling sod - quite near to them, but they did not seem to
be bothered by it.  Numerous Killdeer were also present, along with a few
Horned Larks.
