Hi Everyone,

I almost forgot from all my excitement of getting photos of new butterflies and moths today to post my sighting of a Lark Sparrow (which was a life bird for me and finally good bird on my own!!!! ) at the Bachman Sports complex Off Ordnance road in Glen burnie. Mom and I were having our fast food break at the park after doing a fishing trip at the fishing pier at the Naval academy i got out to go check on a flycatcher on the fence that goes around the ball field . when i got to the back of the fence a few little birds flew off of the ground into the row of small trees along the back fence and i was able to identify the Lark sparrow and a few Chipping sparrows . The bird let me look at it for about 10 seconds(dark stripes on the face and top of head and one dot on chest area ) and then flew over to the area right of the ball field . It was just before dark so i figure maybe it will be there in the morning ?? There are many pesky Mockingbirds here
chasing all the birds away .The park is across from the Home depot . If you were to go in the entrance road and go as far straight as you can theres a ball field on the right . the bird was along the treed fence straight ahead and then flew into the treed area to the right of the ball field . that area behind the fence is some type of off limits maintenance area . sorry for any mistakes.... its late
Good birding and bugging No Nighthawks:(
