One of those days in the field when it took me at least twice as long to get anything done because there were birds everywhere. The jackpot was at weir 109 off of Cumberstone Road. There was a green tree snake and some other brown snake about 10 feet away from each other about 20 feet up in some trees and grape vines. The birds were going nuts. All I had to do was stand there and pish every once in a while to keep them going. That's where I had Veery, Swainson's and Wood Thrush as well as B&W, Redstart, Chestnut-sided and BT Green Warblers, and Red-eyed Vireos and Indigo Bunting. If I had arrived earlier, I'm sure the warbler diversity would have been better. Or perhaps not any at all. Who knows!
