I found one pocket of migrants during my morning walk at Schoolhouse Pond today. The highlight was a 1st fall Kentucky Warbler feeding low in the trees near the back edge of the pond. Also in the active flock in the same area were 4 American Redstarts, 4 Red-eyed Vireos, 1 Chickadee, 3 Titmice, 1 Downy Woodpecker, and a catharus thrush (probably a Veery from the vocalizations, but I never did see the bird).

Other birds present included 4 Great Blue Herons, 2 Great Egrets, 1 Black-crowned Night Heron, 1 Double-crested Cormorant, 8 Wood Ducks, 2 flyover Laughing Gulls and 2 flyover Ring-billed Gulls. Yesterday (9/15) during my lunchtime walk, the highlights included 1 Northern Waterthrush and an adult Nashville Warbler near the rear platform.
