Nico, thanks for the heads up! It's about time we got one here in
Maryland. Any coastal area or lake shore with open rocky shoreline, sand
dunes with fence lines, grazing fields with fence lines, or larger
sandpits or quarries are preferred habitats for this species. They feed on
the ground but like to perch on fence posts, large rocks, dirt piles,
compost piles etc. Perhaps this rainfall will push down something good
overnight
