A brief visit this morning (9/18) to the west area of the park revealed a Palm Warbler foraging in weeds between the two ball fields closest to Meadowbrook Lane. The Palm was with a flock composed of many House Finches, House Sparrows, a few American Goldfinches and several Eastern Bluebirds. I also saw a Yellow-rumped Warbler in the same area. An adult Green Heron was standing on the edge of the small pond below the pavilion and a female American Redstart was nearby. Two Eastern Phoebes were also near the pavilion.
