Lisa and I went out this morning to Piney Orchard Nature Preserve in AA County, a place we had inexplicably never been. We had some fine birding between 8 am and 11 am, including seven warbler species:

_ Black and White (imm)
_ Black-Throated Blue (male)
_ Magnolia
_ Northern Parula (singing!)
_ American Redstart (immature?)
_ Cape May Warbler (FoY and Warren's MD bird #281)
_ Pine (immature)

Other good birds included:

_ Merlin (flyover, FoY)
_ Red-Shouldered Hawk (immature)
_ Acadian Flycatcher, heard
_ Eastern Phoebe, heard
_ Empidonax, sp
_ Cuckoo, sp
_ Killdeer (5-6)
_ Solitary Sandpiper (2)
_ Grey Catbird
_ Eastern Towhee, heard
_ Chimney Swift

plus 4 woodpeckers species (Pileated, Downy, Red-Bellied and N Flicker) and the usual..

Good birding!
