Yesterday PM I looked out a front window and saw movement in some wild
grapes about 30 feet away. Ran for my binocs and got them up to spot a juvie
Robin hiding in the leaves. Then I saw other movement, and noticed it was
a warbler. When I got the binocs on him, I was surprised and delighted to
see only the second Mourning here in 18 years. (The other bird was also a
fall migrant.) I watched for a minute or so before it flew off. He
either pecked at a grape or grabbed an insect off the skin; I could not tell
which. He was the only warbler of any species in the vicinity.
