Let's face it - birding is an addictive behavior that is usually correlated with other addictive behaviors that lead one to fill one's house with an insane number of bird books, bird art, bird jewelry...

This show looks like it was designed to give us a fix! I've seen some samples and it is really terrific work. It is at Studio Gallery in Dupont Circle (2108 R Street N.W. Washington, DC 20008 202.232.8734) and opens on Saturday, October 3. I can't post the announcement, but there are details on the website including dates of the meet the artist receptions (Oct. 9 and 16 from 6-8 p.m. and Oct. 24 from 4-6 p.m.).

Thanks to Norm for allowing me to post this.

Ms. Paul,

Adah Rose Bitterbaum, Director of Studio Gallery, tells me that she has discussed my upcoming art show with you. She was excited about your positive response to the show's focus, including your willingness to publicize it, and I am delighted about your interest in my work.

I hope that you will come to see the 100 prints, paintings and photos that display birds -- real and imaginary -- in a wide array of situations. Furthermore, I am eager for you to inform people, whom you think might be interested in the show.

To aid the publicity, I have attached a JPEG image which gives the dates of the show, the receptions, and the location, hours and contact information for Studio Gallery. In addition, below is the text of an e-mail message which accompanies the JPEG. Please use it as you'd like. I hope you, and others, will find it an intriguing introduction to the show.

If you'd like to see more images, please go to my Artist's Page on the Studio Gallery website -- http://www.studiogallerydc.com/artists/lspur/works.shtml.
