I found a Cattle Egret at Hughes Hollow this morning. As you walk out, the bird was in the back of the large impoundment on the left. Great egrets were all around, so the much smaller size of this bird was obvious. The bird couldn't always be seen behind the vegetation, only when it raised its head up could I see the shorter, thick yellow bill (with a bit of a black tip i think), thick neck, and roundish head. I also noted the extensive feathering below the bill. The bird hopped up a few times to show dark legs and feet. I saw no buffy areas on the crown or anywhere else which threw me a bit , but I didnt have a scope with me
a few warblers as well
Palm Warbler - 4
Northern Waterthrush - 2
