Tried to find another wandering pack of vicious snake-eating warblers at
Morgan Run but found only one very nicely colored fall male MAGNOLIA. The
bird was so nicely colored it almost reminded me of the old Rod Stewart song
about it. -wake up Maggie!
It was down by the pond near where the snake had been until the warblers
apparently devoured it. At least I assume that's what happened. Couldn't
find any trace of the snake so that seems the only logical conclusion.

However I did find a small wandering pack of THRUSH. No snake involved. At
least three of them appeared to be GRAY-CHEEKED. One looked like a
SWAINSON'S and there was a VEERY in the group. There was also an OVENBIRD,
which counts as a thrush because it sorta looks like one. That's all it
takes ain't it?

Also saw an unid. VIREO that didn't look like a Red-eye, so it had to be one
of the other ones without a yellow throat or a dark gray head with a large
white eye-ring or a white eye. Guess that narrows it down to Warbling or
Philly. Good luck with that. I didn't get a good enough look to say which it
might be.

Ps - it's late September and maybe I should head on back to school.
