Hi all,

Sorry for the late post, but I am just getting back after a day of
field work. I decided to make a quick stop at Governors Bridge this
morning on my way to Western Maryland, the weather was too nice after
a few days of wind and rain. The first bird I saw was a COMMON
NIGHTHAWK perched in a tree behind the porta-john, I then heard what
sounded like a CONNECTICUT WARBLER chipping, the bird hopped up and
started walking along the branches in the scrubby stuff, definitely a
favorite bird of mine! From there, I made a quick loop with a few
highlights being a BLUE-HEADED VIREO and WESTERN PALM WARBLER among
the more common stuff. I ran into Hans Holbrook as I was leaving, we
tried to relocate the CONW to no avail. Another quick loop with him
had decent numbers of birds, but nothing too crazy.

Good Birding!
