Hi --

Again, appointments meant we only had time for an hour or two close to home
so despite the foggy morning went over to Brookside Gardens in Wheaton. This
time we stayed in the gardens proper and looked for tit flocks which usually
have a few migrants with them. Not as many Robins, Jays or Flickers today
but even more Catbirds, all stuffing themselves on the abundant fruit,
especially in the Viburnum Garden. One unfortunate find, a dead GRAY-CHEEKED
THRUSH killed against the Garden's Visitor Center's large windows, which
have no decals or anything to warn off low-flying birds. (I will be
discussing this problem with the manager.)

Birds of Interest:

Ruby-throated Hummingbird - 3
Eastern Wood-pewee - 1
Brown Thrasher - 1
Gray Catbird -- 40+!
Swainson's Thrush - 3
