Hi all --

We arrived at Brookside Gardens a little later than ideal (7:45) to find a
lot of frantic activity in the various fruiting trees and shrubs, as well as
in the small birch grove. It was hard to get onto all the birds, which were
flying about and disappearing into the thick foliage. This high activity
continued for about half-hour then seemed to fade away. Further tromping
around in the gardens and alone Pine Lake however proved fruitful. Not as
many robins, flickers and jays today and catbird numbers also declining a
bit (although still very abundant).

Best birds: the continuing MARSH WREN at the far south end of Pine Lake , a
female SUMMER TANAGER feeding in sweet gum near the Viburnum garden and an
ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER in the little birch grove.
