That should have read "young male Black-throated GREEN Warbler."

I spent the morning at Middle Patuxent Environmental Area, and enjoyed some
good action at the Clegg Meadow.

Highlights of the meadow were:

Blue-headed Vireo - 2 (at the top of the meadow)
Philadelphia Vireo - 2 (the big tree about midway down, with the bench in
front of it)
Red-eyed Vireo - 1 (with the blue-heads)
Palm Warbler - 2 (1 eastern, the other heard only at the top of the meadow)
Yellow-rumped Warbler - 2 (at the top of the meadow)
Swamp Sparrow - 5 (at the top of the meadow)
White-throated Sparrow - 1 (heard at the top of the meadow)

The Trotter Rd. loop was not so productive. I only saw one thrush, briefly
and poorly, but well enough to say it was not Wood Thrush, Veery, nor Hermit
Thrush. Alas, the head was obscured and it dematerialized pretty quickly.
Only wabler was a young male Black-throated Blue. The other bird of note
was a Winter Wren.
