I was disappointed with the sparrow turnout this morning at nearby Blue 
Mash. Had better luck (but still not great numbers) along Gregg Rd 
seeing Chipping, Song, Swamp, Savannah and Field.

At Blue Mash, best birds were probably a pair of Northern Shovelers in 
the Big Pond. Wish I had gotten there just a few minutes earlier before 
morning goose liftoff. I was on the gravel road when they started to 
head out for morning feed. One of the flocks contained a goose that was 
noticeably smaller in size than the others but in morning light could 
only get a silhouette.
