Hi All,

I made an half-hour noontime stop at Great Oak Pond in western Kent
County between Fairlee and Worton creeks today (7 Oct '09). The Snow
Geese have increased incrementally since arriving in late September.
Today they were accompanied by a single adult ROSS'S GOOSE on the east
end of the pond next to the grazing goose flock on the southeast
embankment. Also present were 210 Snow Geese (including 10 blue geese),
only about 70 Canada Geese, 4 Green-winged Teal (minimum, the light was
poor and it was very windy), a Ruddy Duck, 12 Tree and 2 rough-winged
swallows.

Good birding,

Walter Ellison
