Upcoming Changes at the DC WWI Memorial

For those who bird the National Mall, it looks like there will be some changes to the mini-migrant trap around the DC World War I Memorial.  Improvements will include removal non-historic trees and vegetation close to the structure to restore its open setting, and the planting of elm trees according to the original landscape plan.  It sounds like there may be some fairly significant habitat changes.  Check out the link below for a detailed discussion of the plan:
