Joy Bowen and I found an immature CONNECTICUT WARBLER just beyond the
gate at the parking lot of Hughes Hollow, Montgomery County, at about
9:00 a.m. this morning, October 14. I don't know if this is the same
bird as was seen by Dave Czaplak and maybe others a few days ago. It
certainly was drab, but the eye ring and incipient hood were easily seen.

The other noteworthy sighting at HH today was of several noisy groups
of RUSTY BLACKBIRD. They were flying around quite a bit so it was
difficult to gage total numbers -- probably 30-40.

Sparrow numbers were as bit low, except for numerous Song
Sparrows. We did have 1 WHITE-CROWNED juvenile and an adult SWAMP,
and heard a few WHITE-THROATED. Yellow-rumped Warblers were
plentiful and we saw 7 PALM WARBLERS , 4 Yellow and 3 Western. Both
Kinglet species were heard and seen.
