while birding at little bennett this morning, i was surprised with a sighting of both a male and female indigo bunting. the male was partially blue which doesn't surprise me as i have seen them that way already this fall. what does surprise me is that ID books differ in that it is said that this is their molting plumage by some and another one says that it is an immature bird.  which is correct?  john f stup, damascus
