Howdy all,

A few birds of note to mention here at Hard Bargain Farm and/or
Piscataway Park.

While at the boardwalk yesterday looking over the Potomac I saw a male
American Wigeon and a bunch (25+) Gadwall. It was nice to finally see
some new faces, the Mallards were getting a little dull. We have at
least 6 Red-Headed Woodpeckers hanging around the Farm and Park these
days. They hang out/travel around from our barnyard, my yard along Bryan
Point Rd, the shallow pond and field across from the Farm's lower
entrance and along what we call the 'T' trail (the little branch of the
boardwalk that goes into the woods down at the river). The final
feathered friends of note are the White-Throated Sparrows I heard this
evening near my house. I expect Juncos to turn up before the weekend is
over.

Good birding,

PS: I forgot to mention the Cooper's Hawk my wife found mantling over a
Mourning Dove in our back yard. I got to the window just in time to see
it scoot off into the woods to enjoy the fresh snack.
